Shipping policy

GENERAL INFORMATION

All orders are subject to product availability. If the requested item is temporarily out of stock on the date of your order, we will notify you and inform you when we can deliver the item or alternatively, we will refund the full amount of your order, depending on the original method of payment.

DELIVERY DELAY

Unless exceptional circumstances prevent us from doing so, we will make every effort to fulfill your order within one to three business days of your order date. Business days are Monday through Friday. Please note that we do not ship on Saturdays or Sundays. There are also delays in processing orders during holiday periods or special events, including Cyber Monday and Boxing Day. Someone must be available between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm to receive the delivered merchandise. This person must be able to sign for and confirm that the goods received are what was ordered. The delivery date may vary depending on factors such as the carrier's delivery practices, the delivery location, the delivery method and the items ordered. Alternatively, items may be shipped in separate shipments.

A flat shipping fee will be applied to all orders under $100. All orders over $100 (before tax and shipping) will receive standard shipping at no charge. To request a higher delivery method, contact icontact@miss-panties.com for associated charges. Applicable sales taxes will be based on the province or territory to which the shipment is made.

Include duties and taxes

Overview

When shipping overseas, it is important to consider duties, taxes, and other customs clearance fees (in addition to transportation costs) when determining the total cost of a shipment (delivered cost). Depending on the content of the shipment and the country of destination, customs clearance fees could have a significant impact on the total cost of the shipment. Being able to calculate and indicate the delivered cost in advance saves time, money and effort for both the sender and receiver.

Duties and taxes are charged to generate revenue and protect local industry; the vast majority of shipments that cross international borders are subject to duties and taxes imposed by the government of the importing country. Customs officials impose duties and taxes based on the information provided on the air waybill, commercial invoice and other relevant documents. In some countries, duties and taxes must be paid before the goods are released from customs. The amount of duties and taxes for a shipment is calculated by taking into account the following:

  • Value of the product
  • Trade agreements
  • Country of manufacture
  • Product description and use
  • Harmonized System (HS) code of the product
  • Country-specific regulations

Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Value Added Tax (VAT)

Many countries have a general consumption tax on the value added to goods and services. In some countries such as Canada, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand, this tax is called the goods and services tax (GST).

Canadian sales taxes are the provincial sales tax (PST), Quebec Sales Tax (QST), the Goods and Services Tax (GST), as well as the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST), which is a combination of PST and GST in some provinces.

Each member state of the European Union (EU) has a value added tax (VAT). Because it is a tax on consumer spending, businesses with a registered and fully taxable VAT number do not bear the ultimate costs of VAT.
